Not only will you earn a commission, but you also have the opportunity to join the trip for free!. We take care of your guests from the time they arrive in Costa Rica to the time they depart.
How to Get Started
To begin, send us an email at contact@seakayakingcostarica.com. Be sure to do so from your business email, including your name, last name, and company name. We will reply to acknowledge your interest in becoming one of our affiliate partners.
Promoting our Trip
You can go about promoting our trip via any of the following methods:
A) Refer
Refer the guest by simply letting them know we are now your partner company and have them communicate directly with us.
B) Introduction Via Email
Introduce the guest via an email where you Cc: us, and we reply offering to answer any questions or booking requests. We will answer all their questions and prepare guests for the trip with packing lists and other informative pre-trip documents.
C) Create a Page on your Website or Facebook Event
Create a Page on your website or Facebook Event on your Facebook page to feature our trip with a departure date. You can do so by requesting our affiliate media package, which includes quality photos and relevant information.
D) Request your own Sea Kayaking Costa Rica Web Page on our website.
We will be happy to create a webpage mentioning your company, your name, and contact information, such as Kayak Guide Justin’s 8-Day Lodge-to-Lodge Golfo Dulce Sea Kayaking Trip. As per your preference, the page will direct guests to contact you or us for questions and bookings.
NOTE: With all the aforementioned options, we will Cc: or Bcc: in every communication with your client (as per your preference, unless you don’t wish to be included). The whole process will be effortless for you unless you specifically wish to be an intermediary, in which case we will be happy to work with you in that fashion, too, not having any direct contact with your client.
Joining a Trip Free of Charge
Not only will you earn a commission, but you also have the opportunity to join the trip for free. If six guests or more sign up for the exact trip dates, you can enjoy the adventure, on those same dates, free of charge. You only need to take care of your airfare to and from San Jose, Costa Rica (airport code SJO). For this reason, it is best to designate a trip date and channel the interested parties to the selected departure date. We can accommodate up to 12 guests on the trip, so the more, the merrier.
Payment of Commissions
Trip cancellations can occur; therefore, to provide commission for trips taken versus those canceled and refunded, and in congruence with our cancellation policy*, commissions will be paid via PayPal (preferably) or international wire transfer three days before the trip start date.
Our 8-Day Lodge to Lodge Golfo Dulce Sea Kayaking Trip is USD $2485, based on double occupancy. This price includes all taxes and fees, including the mandatory 13% value-added tax stipulated by the Costa Rican government. The single supplement is USD $250.
A down payment is required at the time of reservation. We charge a down payment of $500 per person and the balance 30 days before your arrival date. We take the client’s payment directly or receive it from you. We accept all major Credit Cards, International Bank Wire Transfers, and PayPal payments.
*SEA KAYAKING COSTA RICA’S CANCELLATION POLICY
- The time of cancellation will be the date upon which we receive notice from you. We only accept cancellations in writing, by email.
- In case of a cancellation of the trip requested more than two weeks before your official start date, Sea Kayaking Costa Rica will refund the entire amount minus a 5% refund fee.
- In the event of a cancellation of the trip requested two weeks or less before your official trip start date, Sea Kayaking Costa Rica will refund the entire amount minus the down payment(s).
- No refund on cancellations within 72 hours of trip start.
- No refunds will be made in the event of interruption or cancellation by you after the vacation start date.
- All appropriate refunds will be made in US dollars to your credit card via Paypal, via wire, or through your travel agent (if applicable). We will not be responsible for the receipt of refund monies by you from your travel agent, some of whom may withhold an agency cancellation fee.
