I just returned from the Golfo Dulce trip and it was fantastic!
From start to finish everything was perfectly planned out and Matias was an excellent, knowledgeable and fun guide. He really went the extra mild to ensure that people's needs were met and the trip went seamlessly. Everyone in our group of 3 people from Maryland and 4 from Colorado had an awesome time kayaking, hiking, snorkeling, and enjoying the many animals and beautiful scenery that Costa Rica has to offer.
The ecolodges were each unique and comfortable with delicious food and friendly hosts. We met other guests from around the world and everyone was super friendly. We saw macaws, monkeys, dolphins, fish, birds, leaf cutter ants, frags, lizard, sloths and more.

What a great way to experience Costa Rica!
From the moment we arrived in San Jose our guide Matais was there for us. He arranged everything for our 8 day adventure and also became our translator and our friend. He knows so much about his beautiful country, speaks fluent English and was kind, patient and protective. We were a group of 4 ladies ranging from 50-75 years young and he assured we were always comfortable and well taken care of us. The kayaking was amazing, never too strenuous but always a great workout and breathtakingly beautiful. All of our lodging hosts were kind and welcoming and the food was incredible. I highly recommend this trip and would do it again in a heartbeat.
